Event : Visit to Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Center.

Visited the Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Center on 26th October 2025. This Center was established by remodeling the former Jisu Elementary School which produced the founders of global companies such as LG, GS, Samsung, and Hyosung – key drivers of South Korea’s economic growth – after Jinju was declared the capital of Korean Entrepreneurship by the Korean Academic Society of Business Administration (KASBA) on July 10, 2018. It was a pleasant surprise to see my name and photograph in a book kept in the library of the Center.

Jisu-myeon in Jinju City is symbolic as the ‘Cradle of Business’ where the founders of Korea’s four major global companies – Samsung, LG, GS, Hyosung – spent their formative years. Visited Seungsan Village, located in Seungsan-to, Jisu-myeon, Jinju City which is a village with 600 years long history and tradition. Had an opportunity to visit the homes of Hur Man-jung (GS), Koo In-Hwoi (LG), Lee Byung-Chull (Samsung), and Cho Hong-jai (Hyosung), where they had spent their childhood.
